Egypt's Entrepreneur Awards Announces the Winners of the 2024 Edition

The Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards (EEA) recently celebrated the conclusion of its fourth annual event, honoring outstanding startups and entrepreneurs from across the country. This year’s ceremony took place on September 21, 2024, at the prestigious Grand Egyptian Museum, with the participation of over 100 leaders from the business and entrepreneurial communities. With the theme "Breaking Silos Together: Building Resilience and Embracing Opportunity," the event underscored its ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and resilience within Egypt's rapidly growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.

A Platform for Growth and Innovation

The EEA has established itself as a key platform in Egypt's entrepreneurship landscape. Organized by ievents and supported by Tatweer Misr as the main partner, alongside EGBANK, Orange Egypt, and PepsiCo, the awards recognize outstanding achievements across various sectors. The platform aims to provide more than just recognition, with its strategic goal aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030, focusing on social and economic sustainability. By creating an integrated entrepreneurial community, the EEA enables collaboration beyond competition and fosters regional engagement, including the participation of notable projects and an esteemed judging panel.

This year's theme, “Breaking Silos Together: Building Resilience and Embracing Opportunity,” reflected the challenges and opportunities faced by Egypt’s entrepreneurial sector in a fast-evolving economic landscape. The theme captured the essence of collaboration, emphasizing the importance of breaking down barriers between industries, sectors, and entrepreneurs to build resilient, forward-looking businesses that can thrive in both local and international markets.

2024 EEA Winners: A Celebration of Creativity and Impact

The 2024 edition of the EEA recognized 15 startups across diverse categories, with winners selected for their innovative contributions to their respective industries. Sight, founded by Hussein Shahbender, received the Outstanding Youth Entrepreneur Award for its groundbreaking work. In the Sports and Wellness category, SR Padel, led by Khaled Nagy (CEO) and Seif Abousenna (COO), was recognized for its impact on sports.

Disruption in traditional industries was acknowledged with ILLA Logistics, where Mahmoud Elzomor (CEO), Alaa Jarkas, and Ahmed Sakr led the charge in modernizing logistics. 2oolameme, a creative enterprise founded by Abdelrahman Selim and Sarah Abouelkhair, was honored for transforming art into business.

In the realm of content innovation, Peace Cake stood out, with a leadership team including Kareem Abou Gamrah, Ahmed Youssef, Randa Habib, Ahmed Safi, and Marwan Imam, showcasing its unique approach to media. Synapse Analytics, under Ahmed Abaza and Galal El Beshbishy, received the Digital Solutions and Customer Experience Award for its contributions to AI and digital transformation.

For their role in promoting sustainability, Mozna, led by Mousa Khalil, was recognized with the Environmental Sustainability Award. The Fashion Vanguard Award went to Pepla, driven by Dina El-Mosalami, Farah El-Mosalami, and Omar El-Azhary for their contributions to the fashion industry.

Menthum, a fintech innovator headed by Himanshu Shrimali and Ismail Sarhank, earned the Fintech Excellence Award, while Technobit, led by Ahmed Osman, was honored for its global achievements. Local entrepreneurship was celebrated through Raw African, founded by Yasmine Fikry, Dina Fikry, and Dalia Fikry, which received the Local Hero Award.

Design and product innovation were recognized with SAL, led by Salsabeel Amin. In the food sector, Willy’s, under Wael El Shorafa and Mohamed Anwar, was awarded for its success in quick-service restaurants.

The Rising Star Award went to Reme-D, an innovative health-tech startup led by Salma Tammam and Aly Magdy. Finally, the Disruptive Duo Award was shared between Rology and AstraZeneca for their collaboration in healthcare, driven by Amr Abodraiaa, Mahmoud El Defrawy, Moaaz Hossam, Yara Essam, and Mohamed Saber.

A Collaborative Endeavor with Strong Support

The success of the 2024 EEA edition was made possible through collaborations with key sponsors and partners. Tatweer Misr served as the event’s main sponsor, with EGBANK acting as the official banking partner. The awards also received support from Orange Egypt and PepsiCo, who have been co-partners for four consecutive years. Nestlé supported sustainability initiatives, while Concrete returned as the official fashion partner for the third year. The event’s communications were managed by Influence Group, and Startup Scene provided media coverage as the official media partner.
