French-Algerian LabLabee Secures $3.4M Funding for Telecom Training Platform

Empowering professionals with immersive training for 5G, cloud, and AI adoption

LabLabee, a pioneering platform for hands-on training in telecom networks of the future, has announced the successful completion of its seed funding round, securing $3.4 million. This significant milestone marks a crucial step in the company's mission to democratize future network technologies by providing immersive, accessible, and affordable hands-on training to empower professionals worldwide.

Solving the Global Telco Skills Gap

The telecommunications industry is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by the emergence of new players and technologies such as 5G, IoT, and cloud computing. This evolution has highlighted a critical skills gap in the industry, particularly for traditional telecom operators transitioning to cloud-native and AI-based stacks. Existing training platforms often fail to address this gap, offering generic and unaligned solutions that are resource-intensive and time-consuming.

LabLabee's Innovative Solution

LabLabee addresses this gap by providing industry-specific, on-demand, and affordable practice labs that enable learners to master complex concepts and gain practical skills. The platform offers hands-on learning experiences in cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, IMS, OpenStack, GitOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes. By working with telecom operators, vendors, industrial companies, software firms, system integrators, universities, and other organizations, LabLabee integrates hands-on practical exercises into training programs, reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Expansion Plans and Key Objectives

With the successful completion of the seed round, LabLabee is focused on achieving several key milestones. These include establishing a leadership position in the EMEA market, accelerating expansion into the US market through partnerships with hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and broadening its product portfolio with new hands-on training labs. The company also plans to enhance the learning experience with new immersive features, including an end-to-end sandbox learning environment, and extend its course catalog to include new verticals related to Industry 4.0, Telco Security, Telco AI, and Edge Computing.

Investor Support and Confidence

The seed funding round was led by Reach Capital and supported by Classera, along with existing investors Brighteye Ventures and e& capital. Notable business angels such as Cedric Sellin and Mohammed Husamaddin also joined the funding round. Esteban Sosnik, General Partner and Co-Founder at Reach Capital, expressed his confidence in LabLabee's vision and potential, stating, "LabLabee was born from Samir's own frustrating experience in Telecom, both as an engineer and a trainer. He, Mahfoud, and the team bring the ideal blend of deep technical experience and industry knowledge to help workers upskill, reskill, and thrive in this critical sector."

LabLabee's successful seed funding round marks a significant milestone in the company's mission to democratize future network technologies. With its innovative solution and expansion plans, LabLabee is well-positioned to address the critical skills gap in the telecommunications industry and empower professionals worldwide to master cutting-edge technologies.
